Where do slip-and-falls actually happen?

Most Missouri residents do not think twice about making a trip to the store or browsing a sale at the local shopping mall. However, when that quick trip turns into an unexpected slip-and-fall accident, who is to blame? While these incidents can be rare and are often difficult to pinpoint, some provide a clear path to the culprit: an icy sidewalk, hidden steps and cluttered aisles are only a few of the causes of these potentially dangerous accidents.

2016 accident data has many negative signs

The U.S. Department of Transportation released traffic data a little while back about the 2016 year, and how many fatalities occurred that year. According to the data, 37,461 people died in 2016, marking a significant increase over the previous year (5.6 percent). And 2015 was also an increase over the year before that. Within these numbers though, there are some positive signs. For example, distraction-related deaths and drowsy-driving deaths both declined (by 2.2 percent and 3.5 percent, respectively).

Social media might hurt your personal injury case

After an injury, it is only human nature to want to talk about what you experienced with others. Your friends online may be able to give you some advice or commiserate with you at the very least. However, it is crucial for you and other Missouri residents to understand how going onto social media to talk about your injury could be detrimental to a personal injury case.
